I find hormones affect my dreams massively. When it is a few days before I am due to start, then my dreams get more and more vivid and often very active – lots of running and finding things. They are often like I am viewing myself on TV – almost in the third person. But my hormones or anxiety really send my dreams odd!

If I am a bit stressed, I tend to dream about stairs or ladders or steep hills that are impossible to climb. I can start off on the stairs and then something happens like the steps get wider or narrower or steeper, have big gaps or the handrail disappears. It can be quite scary.
I do have a phobia of open tread stairs and avoid these at any cost,…[Read more]

I go through phases of having very vivid dreams, usually coinciding with me feeling stressed or anxious or lonely, so yes, I do tend to analyse them (even though they’re not generally nightmares), because it helps me work out something I need to do/get over/man up about. They usually involve lots of things and people from my real life, all mashed…[Read more]

I have very bizarre dreams sometimes that I remember a lot of details about. Mostly they don’t make sense and are very strange.
The only ones I’ve had that I could place a reason for, was when my horse was very very sick and I kept dreaming that she was on the other side of a river and I couldn’t get to her. I had that dream regularly until she…[Read more] -

I had a very vivid dream last night that I was working in an office with an old manual typewriter and couldn’t type a letter without making load of mistakes and having to keep using more paper and hiding the messed up stuff. This could probably relate to when I was about 18 and in my first job ! A very very long time ago. I often have dreams where…[Read more]

I have very odd vivid dreams and dream (though when I say dream, they’re usually nightmares) most nights!
I had a reoccurring one for a while where I was in an orchard hiding from someone with a shotgun who was trying to kill me. I very frequently dream that I’m either breastfeeding a baby or have had a baby girl. And I’ve had more than one…[Read more]

I have incredibly vivid, but quite dull dreams. Last night, I dreamt I was trying to board an Air New Zealand flight from Calgary to Prague, but my boarding pass on my phone would only show my air bnb booking for Prague, and not my seat number, so they wouldn’t let me on. Then they would let me on, and would upgrade me for my troubles, but I had t…[Read more]

Usually related in some way to something that is going on in the day. The worst for me are the repetitive dreams which tend to happen if I’ve been working on something really complex at work and they reflect that.
The horses tend to feature too and stay true to character – the comforter, the scared one, the thief, the destroyer of things and the…[Read more]

I have very odd dreams which I can remember as well. If I think back to the previous day I can usually find a reason for them, even a name mentioned will make me dream of someone with the same or a similar name.
If they are nothing horrible then don’t waste time worrying about them. Exercise and wine will help sleep but won’t stop dreams!

At the moment I am having incredibly complicated and seemingly random dreams every night, which I can remember clearly in the morning. They aren’t nightmares, there is nothing horrible, they are just odd!
Do you bother analysing your dreams or do you just ignore them? And any tips on how I stop having them? I have tried lots of physical exercise…[Read more]

I’ll have a go at sharpening them tomorrow. I’ve just ordered some colbalt ones as well. Thank you!

You hold the drill at an angle to a grinding wheel, or if as good at it as my dad, you get your daugher to hold the angle grider (running) and hold the bit at an angle of about 45 degrees to the wheel and your drill bit is sharp
Your farrier may be able to help out with either sharpening the drill, or even getting the old bolts out, heating them may work. -

They probably arent sharp enough. The old bolts are stuck, especially now I’ve angle grinded the top and bottom of them, so they’ve melted in place for want of a better word. They were already pretty stuck though. But the new holes are going an inch over from them so not conflicting.
How on earth do you sharpen a drill bit??

Are the drill bits sharp enough? My late father was an engineer all his life and often complained that new drill bits were not correctly sharpened and then would grind them to sharpen them. I *think* that are drill sharpening services but I think you would need to google.
Edited to add, have you removed the old bolts? If not knock them through…[Read more]

I am at an absolute loss with this now! I’m renovating a trailer. I dismantled it down to the frame and am slowly putting it back together. I want to put the floor down now. Its cut to shape and drilled ready to be bolted down. The problem is I cant drill into the steel frame to put the bolts through. I had to angle grind the old bolts out and…[Read more]

A very sad story, and as has already been said, one that is being repeated up and down the country. I volunteer in my local food bank and some of the stories that we hear are awful. One older lady (lives alone) was taken into hospital for emergency surgery and because she didn’t submit her regular doctor’s note (due to her being in hospital for…[Read more]

This whole welfare disaster has been 20 years in the making – it’s not just the Tories, Blair has a fair amount of culpability.
I’m going to drop in by in a week or so and see how they are doing. Because they are moving into a different authority, there may be more help and I know a couple of people who can maybe give them help and advocacy.
The…[Read more]

If the various previous governments hadn’t stolen the money which we all pay into the system and given it to the share holders of companies like G4S, the various companies who “provide” *hotel* services to hospitals, property developers, private landlords, academy trusts etc etc then the services may hae the resources to be able to help people…[Read more]

That’s really sobering and very sad. More shocking as they are vulnerable people with learning difficulties – no case worker to fight their corner I presume. There must be somebody who can help them get benefits, maybe you could go along with them and try and get them seen to. Just a thought…
It’s shocking what the most vulnerable people have…[Read more]
