  • We had a lot of dealing with TS about a car. As I recall, we contacted them, they arranged a time to come out and discuss it and we supplied them with a mountain of paperwork. They looked into it and added it to their file of complaints about the dealers, but never did anything more than chat to them about improving their service…

  • I don’t know but our TS don’t allow contact from the public, it has to be done via a referral from CAB Consumer advice line. They then please themselves whether they contact the complainer or not – I contacted CAB several times about a trader operating illegally (not providing a postal address for one thing) and TS never got back to me. I have no…[Read more]

  • Why not give TS a call and have a chat?

  • I have made a complaint via the citizens advice bureau about the managing agents of our block of flats . It appears they have not registered with any recognised ombudsman despite having a logo on their website.

I have been told this is illegal by the ombudsman whose logo they display.they also checked the other regulatory bodies and they…[Read more]

  • I use orthotics, the type with the rigid plastic arch support. Yes, Vit D is very importab=nt too, you can buy a Vit D test that is a prick test from the NHS on Amazon if your GP is not helpful.

You can use a frozen plastic bottle with water to roll in your instep, and also stretching by massaging the insoles with a ball (tennis size or…[Read more]

  • Orthotic insoles. One of my arches is too flat, probably due to compensating on the good leg for years. I find it tons better using an arch support insole.

  • Thanks for the tips will try that for sure! I will also try to stand up straighter I often get lazy with my posture too many times.

  • I would agree with pakkasham, quite often these issues come from higher up. When my pelvis gets bad enough my feet set off eventually!

Personally as well as physio (which I need for other bits anyway) getting the ligaments working better really helped- I have mostly barefoot style shoes now.

The trouble with riding is that it does put the…[Read more]

  • Thanks for your replies really appreciate it! I have been doing some research and I think I have plantar fasciitis by the looks of things. I think that Im going to trya pair of gel insoles like these ones at first
http://shoewawa.com/product/massaging-gel-insoles-2/ because the pain mainly arises when I apply my body weight on my foot when riding…[Read more]

  • Last year I was suffering from foot pain it was cured by a physio who I was referred to by occupational health as I had back issues. She used deep tissue pressure techniques which sorted the back and the foot. When I mentioned the foot she explained the tense muscles in the back were making me load the foot in a way that it produced a secondary…[Read more]

  • As random as this may sound, it may be worth getting your Vit.D levels checked. Do you get cramp in your feet or legs? My feet hurt like mad when my vit D was low and got better when my levels came back up and in fact I tend to use the foot pain as a barrometer of when my levels dip again.

  • See a physio or podiatrist.

  • I have been suffering really badly with foot pain when riding recently (so much so that I have to keep on shuffling around annoying my horse quite a lot). I dont know whether it is because of my riding technique that has caused my sudden onset of foot pain or if it has been caused by something else (I do run quite a bit). I was wondering if there…[Read more]

My neighbour had awful trouble last year when their systems were hacked – he couldn’t pay his bill because of their problems and they tried to penalise him. We emailed the CEOs office and she sorted it. Here you go – give ’em hell, their customer service is pants.

Thanks everyone. Apparently I renewed contract online last October. I have absolutely no recollection of this, I have no confirmation emails and there was nothing on my account to say this, however I am now not able to access that to look again. I think probably my mistake and I will need to learn from this.

I am totally appalled at their…[Read more]

@Dave Op will have advised BT that she is with talk talk currently, I am presuming she will be doing a line transfer, and not setting up an additional line. Op is in contract currently, so contacting BT to stop the planned move until this is rectified may save the OP the huge cancellation fee.

Op is sure she didn’t renew, i was confirming that…[Read more]

I have no advice, but am going to recommend plus net- been with them since I moved in about 10 months ago; cheap, good service, and U.K. Call centres so very easy to speak to someone and understand what is going on (we had a bt line go down which knocked out the whole postcode so had to call them to find out what was going on)

  • Dave replied to the topic Talktalk advice please. in the forum Chit chat 8 years ago

@alainax erm. No?? Why on Earth would BT be aware of a contract in place with another service provider?! They can only do as a customer requests. The OP requested to move her services to BT, and so they placed an order.

Any relationship or contract with the OP and TalkTalk is not anything to do with BT.

With regards to the rolling contract, you…[Read more]

BT will set up a new contract, and pay the balance on an existing contract in order for you to move over to them. I moved in November, as talk talk were useless, and my broadband was delivered via wet string.
