I am determined to be more healthy (I gotta) I have found that I have been sucked into that whole lazy inactive lifestyle that just about everybody I know seems to be in… You know the one… the one where you just basically walk when you have to, sit at a computer desk all day hardly moving and eating junk sugary food this is so bad, and is something I refuse to do any more. Also I found that inactivity breeds more inactivity and actually makes you feel more tired and lazy, I think that this has got to do with the notion of your brain just shutting down and your body because your not using it and thus not creating the brain chemicals that make your feel active because they are not needed, SO I REFUSE TO BE A SLOTH! So what I am going to do about it? Well yes here in England it is pretty freezing cold (even though this winter seems to be a lot warmer than most and I actually doubt the temperature has even gone pat zero… but that being said it still wet and windy and no Australian beach!) so it does make getting out of you nice warm cosy house and into a blizzard of cold and damp quite hard and then you have the whole idea of actually running and getting out of breath, (oh dear what have a I actually let myself in for) but I guess determination is key and I think after awhile you do get used to the cold, running improves circulation as well so I am hoping with that in mind it will mean eventually my circulation will be so good I wont even feel the cold I hope anyway.
So far I am yet to start my running but in preparation for it I made sure I bought some sports insoles and looked on some maps and talked to some friends for the best places to run. If I am going to be honest I maybe actually putting back actually running and making up excuses but I guess I will just have to run one day as my excuses run out. In my next post I will tell you all how it went.
Have any of you taken up running recently? Share your stories and hopefully words of encouragement for me in the comments below!
Good luck with your fitness journey. If you lack energy and motivation for your new lifestyle I find that not cutting down on your food and eating lots of nutritious food is bets as it give your body more energy. 😀
