Yet again waiting for a YODEL delivery, 3rd day in a row.
DAy 1, apparently we were out, no card and cctv shows no delivery attempt made
Day 2 forgot to put parcel on the van
Day 3 Can’t find the house.
In the meantime we have had countless other deliveries from other companies as it seems that our house, which has been here for 1000+ years is still here.
The parcel contained gifts for relatives visited yesterday and clothes for me to wear out tonight, my family have no food as I’ve been unable to leave the house and I now have the yard to do.
I shall be contacting the sender, Laura Ashley and asking that the refund my delivery fee and also that they please change delivery companies.
YODEL are useless, we have this problem every time a company is stupid enough to use them. I am now going to ask if YODEL is the carrier and if so cancel orders.

I have issues with myHermes rather than YODEL, but is infuriating isn’t it!
I’ve found DPD very good.
Hope your parcel arrives soon
Agreed. The Hermes man regularly phones me and says he hasn’t got time to deliver “away out there” and can I collect from his house (5 miles away so hardly away out there!). I’ve never agreed to go to his house but on a few occasions when it’s been something I needed that day he’s left it at the PO about 4 miles away so I can collect. Before he got my number he just delivered when he had nothing else to do I think!

The yodel guy round here takes pride in knowing where everyone is and hates using his satnav unless absolutely necessary. But drivers like him are few and far between. Like the Amazon driver who turned up the other day, sat blocking the drive for 5mins as he couldn’t deliver before his specified time, then practically threw the parcel at me with a fag in his other hand. No hello or goodbye! What a charming man!

I know when I worked for a retailer in their call centre years ago that if the delivery was late and it was yodel I may as well just refund delivery straight away, give them a voucher and apologise a lot.
I have had stuff delivered by yodel though that has arrived on time in recent years so maybe they are improving slowly.

I am awaiting a Yodel delivery. They have allegedly tried to deliver twice and left a card on both occasions. They are clearly lying as we were in, there are no cards and the motion alarm didn’t sound.
When I contacted customer services on ‘chat’, they asked for directions to to house. I pointed out if he’d left 2 cards, he knew full well where the property was!
Hermes have dropped off a parcel today, we really aren’t that hard to find. -

I find Hermes good, I think it depends on who your local Hermes couriers are if you are to have good service or not.I have sent over 100 parcels with Hermes and the only time one was delayed was my fault as I changed the address by hand on the label as the next door neighbour to where I was sending it had very similarly named house and it was clearly too much for the operatives in the sorting depot of Hermes to work it out!

We waited 2 days for a yodel delivery from Argos.
Day 1…. Can’t find address
Day 2…. ( Christmas eve) Text to say package delivered through letterbox Parcel was expected to be a LARGE cardboard box. Needless to say we looked everywhere no sign of a delivery.Day 3 ( Boxing Day) rang Argos, they said package was recorded as returned to depot. Agreed we could go to nearest store & pick up ( which we did)
Day 4…. Text to say we were 26th in line for delivery. It never came!

We tend to have problems with my hermes around here – parcels always damaged, and 99% of the time are found about 5 miles down the road in a ditch about a week after they should have arrived! If they do happen to actually drive past the house, they will chuck the box over the hedge rather than put it by the front gate (or god forbid, actually come up the drive to the front door!)

Hermes patchy round here too, delivered to the wrong house, my neighbour who was away and left the parcel in her drive.
I’m still waiting for a delivery from something I ordered on 21st December, I was assured I didn’t need to pay for next day delivery and first class would be fine. Supplier has been shut since lunchtime on the 23Rd until this Tuesday. Argh, it’s Christmas presents ffs! They will get several pieces of my mind come Tuesday!
